Sin will take you further than you ever intended to stray.
Sin will keep you longer than you ever intended to stay.
Sin will cost you more than you dreamed you would ever pay.
The MORE we integrate the world into our lives, the less we care about sin.
My friend Jill's husband Scott is a Bible teacher and the mini-message with which I started this post is a brief quote from his study in I John on Sunday night.
Jill shared this wonderful short set of sentences in a discussion yesterday amongst several of us who are part of an online prayer and fellowship group. No new teachings, no deeper life concepts, no fire and brimstone or greasy grace coated promises: just straight up truth. Jesus said he came that we might have life and have it more abundantly, In chosing sin, we choose to block our own pathways to that abundant life. My prayer is that each of you reading will ask the Lord to draw you as close to Himself as He possibly can and that we ALL take (more) time to grow our relationships with our Heavenly Father so that we will recognize even the most subtle of tempations , the signs and symptoms if you will, of SIN, and care about sin, care about living for Jesus as if this were going to be the last day of our lives!

Even reading it here still hits me the same way!
We must choose life or death this day!
I love you and pray that your day is blessed with healthy children in your home once again!
