My dear friend Jenny was over last night for a while to visit, well to borrow my uber jumbo sized-cake pan, but REALLY to visit................I love my friend so much!!! She was reading in Deuteronomy the other day and found a wonderful gem. She brought the gem to share with me during our visit.
"The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law." Our Secret was revealed to us; He belongs to God, but was revealed to us...................that we may do all the words of this law.
One more precious thing that I want to ponder in my heart...............
We have friends whose baby is now 7 motnhs old. As I was walking the fragrant aisle of laundry detergents at Walmart, I ran into our friends. At that moment Noami called me to ask me 'something" but started talking about Baby Elijah, our friends' baby. This got her sweet mind in motion! Today she announced to Hannah that we should name Secret DANIEL ELIJAH. This is a good name she said, an "awesome name, an 'amazing name". It may just be that DANIEL ELIJAH is the RIGHT NAME too. More on that at a later date.
Just like a little bit of everything goes into a great pot of soup, so God has brought a lot of things and people into our family. He adds and He takes away, but in the process we are being seasoned and poured out, shared and blessed. The ingredients are unique but its a wonderful blend!
