Trying to get started is easier to talk about than to do
I started this blog probably two months ago and I have a front page. Today I am determined to do something else with it. God is so faithful to me, and to our family; I am so full of praise to the Father for all His blessings. It all just demands acknowledging ! As I went out to mik the goats several nights ago, a friend had called to ask about the refernce of a scripture, but admonished me, if I was not already, to milk the goats "Colossians 3:17 style" I try to do everything Colossians 3:17 style, but sometimes I DO need a reminder. The verse reads,
"And whatsoever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him." As I am in the home stretch of Charlie's second tour of duty in Iraq, I find that some days I am seriously lacking the "omph" to do "anything" , let alone "all I do" in Jesus' name. But PRAISE GOD, He has rejuvenated my spirit the weekend ! He put the dancing back into my feet and a new, fresh joy in my heart. I CAN run against a troop, , by my God I can jump over a wall!! (Ps 18:29) That is what I want to share right now: that with God all things are possible, even for a sometimes tired farm mom of 14 who has been playing roles of mom and dad, home school teacher, praise team member, and keeping the name, face and personality of Daddy alive and well while that Daddy is so far away with communications so few and far between. The Lord has been so good to us and I want this first post to reflect my gratitude and my praise that He loves me so much and cares for me , for our family so meticulously!!!!!!!!!!!
